Just as their offense was starting to look unstoppable, the New York Red Bulls got a bit of a setback. Center back Wilman Conde suffered an apparent groin injury during Thursday's training session. Coach Hans Backe estimated that Conde would miss the next month.

Conde, whose rights the Red Bulls acquired in an offseason trade, has played in just two games this season. The Red Bulls have gone 2-0-0 in those matches and 1-2-0 in their other three. Without Conde, the Red Bulls will most likely use Markus Holgerson and Stephen Keel, neither of whom have really stood out.
The biggest question surrounding Conde was his ability to stay healthy. In Conde’s previous three full MLS seasons, he’s never appeared in more than 25 matches and he’s never started in more than 22.
