Robbie Rogers Suffers Apparent Injury In First Start For Leeds United

Robbie Rogers’ injury in his starting debut for Leeds is the second injury he’s suffered since signing with the Championship side.

Robbie Rogers received his first-ever start for Leeds United on Saturday, but was forced out of the game with an apparent injury after just 12 minutes. Various reports have suggested he went down without contact and some have speculated that the injury is serious enough that he'll miss the remainder of the season.

Even before this apparent injury, Rogers’ time in the English Championship has been a bumpy one. Rogers clashed heads with an opponent in his debut and was forced to miss several weeks of competition. He recently returned, though, and was playing in Leeds’ third straight match.

Rogers had played less than 20 minutes in each of his first three appearances, meaning Saturday’s start was the first time he would really have a chance to showcase himself. It’s unclear where this would leave Rogers’ status with Leeds.
