Columbus Crew Vs. New York Red Bulls, MLS 2012: Thiery Henry, Kenny Cooper Do It Again

Kenny Cooper, Thierry Henry and the New York Red Bulls look just about unstoppable right now. Their latest victim was the Columbus Crew, who the Red Bulls demolished 4-1 on Saturday. New York got all four of its goals from Cooper and Henry, each of whom scored a pair.

The two forwards have now combined to score 13 goals between them and they are currently 1-2 in goals scored. Cooper briefly held the MLS goal-scoring lead when he bagged a pair of goals in the first 13 minutes of the match to give the Red Bulls an early 2-0 lead. But Henry pulled even with a goal in the 40th minute and then pulled ahead when he scored in the 90th minute.

Since starting the season 0-2-0, the Red Bulls have been on fire. As a team, they've scored 13 goals in their past three games and scored at least four goals in each of those. It's worth noting that the Red Bulls are now 3-0-0 with Rafael Marquez in the lineup.

This one was pretty much over before the first half was at its midway point. Cooper's 3rd minute score was a product of being given too much space at the top of the penalty area, giving him time to beat Andy Gruenebaum with his left foot. He picked up his second on a header that needed some impressive english to scoot inside the far post.

The most impressive goal of the game, though, belonged to Henry. After receiving a set up from Joel Lindpere, he managed to calmly pull his shot just inside the near post despite having almost no angle on it.
