The BBC is reporting on Twitter that Liverpool have sacked manager Kenny Dalglish after a disappointing Premier League campaign.

Liverpool’s owners have relieved Dalglish of his managerial duties after the club’s failure to challenge for a Champions League spot.

Dalglish's future was in doubt after the embattled manager returned from a short trip to Boston, MA for a meeting with Liverpool's principal owner John Henry and chairman Tom Warner. Reports are that the ownership group was troubled by the team's failure to challenge for a Champions League spot this season and the inconsistent level of play that plagued the Reds all season.
King Kenny managed 74 matches in his second stint as Liverpool manager, winning 35 matches, drawing 17 and losing 22. He led Liverpool to a Carling Cup victory this year and the FA Cup Final where his side was defeated by Chelsea.
Despite the cup success, Liverpool were far below their expected standards in the league, ultimately finishing in eight place, one sport behind their rivals Everton and 17 points out of a Champions League spot.
