In the annals of North American supporter culture, there really isn’t a story like the Sons of Ben. As you may or may not know, they are THE major reason that MLS came to Philadelphia and continue to be the most visible aspect of the Philadelphia Union. Now, there’s a feature-length movie poised to tell that story to the masses.

Judging from the trailer (h/t @theoffsiderules), it’s a well produced documentary that will surely do a much better job of depicting their story than the notorious GQ UK story that made the SoBs out to be a bunch of hooligan poseurs.
Their story really is a remarkable one, in that even if there are bigger supporters groups even within MLS, none of them can take quite as much ownership for the existence of a team as the SoBs. I, for one, am actually looking forward to learning more about their story.
