Germany Vs. Greece, Euro 2012: Match Underway

We're up and running - twice - in Germany vs. Greece, Euro 2012's second quarterfinal. Greece managed to kick off before the referee's whistle went, which meant they were called back to the centre circle and forced to start the match all over again. There's a very real chance that that's the most interesting thing their side does all match, which is really depressing.

Anyway, it doesn't take long for Germany to generate their first chances. Heavy pressure results in a turnover in the midfield and Mesit Ozil slips in Miroslav Klose. Greece just about clear, although Klose is incorrectly flagged for offside. Moments later and Marco Reus' cross just eludes the Lazio hitman, although in between Giorgos Samaras did his best to increase his side's chances by spiking Sami Khedira. He should be ok, although it's baffling that Samaras wasn't booked.

We’ll have live coverage of the game in our Germany vs. Greece, Euro 2012 Quarterfinals StoryStream. For more on Euro 2012 and the entire world of football, follow @SBNationSoccer on Twitter.
