Spain Vs. France, Euro 2012: Lines, Odds And Picks

Spain has not wowed anyone with their play at Euro 2012 and they could be vulnerable, but France has looked even more shaky. At their best, the French are incredibly dangerous, but they have only been at their best in very short spurts this tournament. With the way that Germany slaughtered Greece on Friday, Spain will have to impress to stay a favorite or co-favorite in this tournament or things will turn in favor of the Germans, not that favorite status means much.

Lines: Spain, -1/2 (-135). France, +1/2 (+115).
Odds: Spain, -135. France, +375. Draw, +255.
Over/Under: Over 2, -120. Under 2, +100.

France has the midfield to counter Spain, which is rare. Franck Ribery, Jeremy Menez, Hatem Ben Arfa, Samir Nasri, Yohan Cabaye, Yann M'Vila, Alou Diarra and Lassana Diarra give Laurent Blanc more than enough quality midfielders to choose from and match against Spain. They aren't as good as the Spaniards, but few teams have as many quality midfielders as France to even give them a chance. Even so, with M'Vila still recovering from injury and Cabaye not playing at his best, it will be tough for France to hang. That Philippe Mexes will miss the match through suspension and the cold Laurent Koscielny will have to start does not help matters. France could win, but they won't and the -135 is better than you would think you'd get.

This one is a good bet for the under. +100 is a nice number and this one has a Spain special written all over it. That is to say 1-0.
