USA Vs. Canada: Edgar Castillo Has A Go From Montreal

Edgar Castillo got a last second start when Fabian Johnson was injured during warmups and he's clearly eager to make an impact. When a corner kick was cleared out and in his direction, he decided to hit a first time volley, which sounds like a good idea. The problem is that he was so far away from goal that he might as well have been in Montreal.

Actually, Castillo hit the ball pretty well and for a split second you could have been forgiven if you had images of greatness running through your mind. It didn't look too bad. It dipped and was on frame and considering how far away he was, not much more could be asked of him. Still, it was an easy stop for the goalkeeper and the United States continued to search for their first goal. If nothing else, Castillo gets some serious audacity and ambition points.
