USA Vs. Canada: Jermaine Jones Has Shot Blocked

The United States can attack! You are forgiven if you thought otherwise watching the first 50 minutes of them playing Canada, but it is something that can do, apparently.

After Clarence Goodson cleared the ball, Jermaine Jones got on the ball and fed Landon Donovan, who raced down the right. Donovan got down near the end line before picking his head up and spotting Jones, who had seemingly run 14 miles, at the far post and whipping in a great cross. It found Jones at the back post, who nodded the ball towards goal, but it never made it to the goal. It was blocked by a defender and the U.S. attack was thwarted. Still, it was an attack and that's something!

If you turn the match off now then nobody will judge you. it’s been awful.
