Jozy Altidore and Oguchi Onyewu have come into the match as substitutes for the United States. If you knew this because you are watching the match then I apologize. Nobody should be watching this match.
USA Vs. Canada: Jozy Altidore, Oguchi Onyewu Subbed On
Maybe bringing on Altidore can change things up. He entered for Jose Francisco Torres, who was dreadful, and now the U.S. is in a 4-4-2 with Altidore and Herculez Gomez up top and Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey below them. Hey, that's how Bob Bradley's U.S. team played! Be glad that the U.S. brought in the transcendent Jurgen Klinsmann.
Onyewu entered for Carlos Bocanegra, who seemed to be carrying a knock so the defensive substitution isn't too bad. The problem is that Onyewu is the man who came on despite being awful for the U.S. for two years now, most recently on Wednesday against Canada. It's not like there is a young, athletic option. Oh wait, Geoff Cameron. Sit down, Geoff, Onyewu needs another chance!
