Things were bad enough for Greece being down 1-0 and playing pretty horribly, but now Greece will have to deal with the absence of Avraam Papadopoulos too. The central defender went down injured halfway through the first half, but tried to play through it. He only made it to the 36th minute, though, finally making the difficult decision to come off and call it a day. Kyriakos Papadopoulos has come on for him.
Poland Vs. Greece, Euro 2012: Papadopoulos Off, Papadopoulos On
With the way Greece is getting killed down the left, they need Avraam Papadopoulos to help clear away all of the crosses that Poland are getting in, but that isn’t going to happen now. Kyriakos Papadopoulos will have a tough task ahead of him and asking him to come in cold against an attack that is completely skinning you is a lot, but that is the reality. It’s a pretty grim one for Greece, who might be down and out before long.
