AS Roma have signed USA international Michael Bradley from Chievo Verona on Sunday, finally ending their long-running pursuit of the Flying Donkeys midfielder. Bradley, who excelled in the Bundesliga before falling flat in an attempted step up to the Premier League in the 2010/11 season, excelled with Chievo last season.

Bradley's combative, hard-working style in the centre of the pitch made him stand out, eventually convincing Roma to pay €3.75M for his services and sign him to a four-year contract. He will join Euro 2012 standout Daniele de Rossi in the Roma midfield, which needed a boost after the departure of the on-loan Fernando Gago this summer.

Going the other way is co-ownership and the season-long loan of 21-year-old prospect Adrian Stoain, who featured heavily with Bari in the Serie B last year. Chievo have paid Roma €500,000 for half of Stoain's rights, although a good season with the Flying Donkeys could see him sell for far more money next summer.
