The MLS All-Stars have struck first and, of course, it was Chris Wondolowski who scored it.
Chelsea Vs. MLS, 2012 All-Star Game: Of Course Chris Wondolowski Scores
The San Jose Earthquakes striker is not just the league's leading scorer this season, but he is on pace to set a new MLS single-season goal-scoring record. So naturally, he got into the action in the All-Star Game, too. Wondolowski scored in the 21st minute to put the MLS team ahead of Chelsea, 1-0, and ignite half of a very much split crowd at PPL Park in Chester, Pa.
That Wondolowski scored wasn't the only unsurprising thing -- it's also how he scored. The ball got wide left to Thierry Henry, who crossed. John Terry made a hash of his attempted clearance and the ball fell right in front. Wondolowski just had to tap it in, which is the most Wondolowski way to ever score a goal. The ball just finds him and he doesn't miss the goal.
