They were officially eliminated after a 1-0 defeat against Honduras, and their final match against Morocco was simply about pride.

After ninety thoroughly uninspiring minutes in which Adrian managed to spurn a handful of chances to break his country's Olympic duck, Spain ended up drawing 0-0 with the third place team in their group. It wasn't a matter of comprehensively outplaying Morocco, either -- Spain managed more and better chances but hardly dominated the match. They were simply playing poor football, much like they've done throughout the tournament. And now they're going home, while Japan and Honduras go to the quarters. Good riddance.
