Craig Bellamy, fresh off an excellent Olympic games with the Great Britain team, has now decided that he's had enough of England and is heading back to Wales. Cardiff City, who had the forward on loan for the 2010/11 season, have announced the not-surprising-at-all signing.
Craig Bellamy Leaves Liverpool For Cardiff
33-year-old forward Craig Bellamy has signed a two-year contract with nPower Championship side Cardiff City.

It’s with great pleasure that Cardiff City Football Club formally welcomes Craig Bellamy back. Craig has made his continued passion to help Cardiff City succeed in its ambitions very clear in recent years. We all look forward to his contribution to the team in the years to come.
Bellamy had been linked to a move away from Liverpool all summer and has agreed a two-year deal with Cardiff. Said deal is worth less that what he'd have been paid for next season at Anfield, taking a 61 percent pay cut to join up with the Bluebirds*. If he's given up on several hundred thousand pounds just to play for his boyhood team, that's an extraordinarily impressive display from the Welshman. One that nobody will talk about because most people don't like him.
*Do we still call them that now that they’ve changed colours? The redbirds?
Although Bellamy is 33, he still featured reasonably heavily for Liverpool, and his departure leaves the Reds with basically no depth in the forward positions. It remains to be seen just how Brendan Rodgers is planning to deal with that, although at least Luis Suarez isn't going anywhere.
