Chelsea and Manchester City play the first game of the season between two top-flight English teams that has some sort of meaning. The Community Shield is, for the most part, a friendly that someone decided to throw a trophy into, but both teams will be playing close to their first choice XI and the match should be an excellent one.

Don't expect to see too much from Ramires, who will be joining up with the Brazil team after the match. Oscar is unavailable for Chelsea on account of playing in the Olympics final on Saturday. Manchester City are without Micah Richards and Gareth Barry, who are injured.
The game is being played at Villa Park, since Wembley Stadium and the Millennium Stadium were both in use for Olympic football. There’s TV coverage of the match in the U.K., U.S. and Canada, but unfortunately there is no legal streaming service carrying the game online.
