The match should be an entertaining spectacle with both teams in form and playing excellent football, although despite the Blues’ obvious danger and apparent upturn in form, Swansea boss Michael Laudrup will be buoyed by the fact that Chelsea have only won two of their last six home games in all competitions.
The South Wales club have not made the semi-finals of a cup since 1964, when they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Preston. After Bradford's heroics against Aston Villa, they will surely be inspired by both their giant-killing display and the prospect of a winnable final. Chelsea, meanwhile, may seek to win the competition to instill a winning mentality in a relatively new squad. Whatever the result, this one looks finely balanced before the teams go into action.

Swansea have few injury concerns, although Gerhard Tremmel is expected to start ahead of Michel Vorm as a reward for his performances during the latters injury. Angel Rangel is recovering from a calf problem but is likely to play.
