Newcastle United vs. Liverpool: Preview and TV schedule
Liverpool travel to play the ever-unpredictable Newcastle at St James’ Park in Saturday’s early kickoff.
Brendan Rodgers' side wobbled with a draw against Swansea followed up with a defeat to Southampton, though the Reds have returned to winning ways with back-to-back victories against relegations strugglers Sunderland and Crystal Palace. With Daniel Sturridge on great form and Luis Suárez having returned from suspension, Liverpool are looking genuinely dangerous.
However, for this trip north they're without Sebastián Coates and more importantly Philippe Coutinho and Iago Aspas through injury. For Newcastle, Ryan Taylor and Fabio Coloccini are definitely unavailable, and could be joined on the sidelines by the doubtful duo of Steven Taylor and Massadio Haidara.
Newcastle United injuries and suspensions
Out: Ryan Taylor (knee), Fabio Coloccini (groin). In doubt: Steven Taylor (hamstring), Massadio Haidara (knee).
Liverpool injuries and suspensions
Out: Philippe Coutinho (shoulder), Sebastián Coates (knee), Iago Aspas (thigh). In doubt: None.
