Aston Villa vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Preview and TV schedule

A resurgent Aston Villa host Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, with Spurs looking to bounce back from a shock defeat to West Ham.

Aston Villa have picked up seven points from a possible nine in their last three Premier League games -- including a great win over Manchester City -- and will no doubt be hoping the international break hasn't broken their momentum. Paul Lambert's side have moved up into 10th place, and host Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park on Sunday.

The season started swimmingly for Spurs, though things went horribly wrong away at Upton Park before the break. West Ham put three goals past Hugo Lloris without reply, as André Villas-Boas witnessed his team slip to sixth in the table. That makes this game pretty unpredictable, with both sides in with a good chance of success.

Villa will be without the long-term injured trio of Charles N'Zogbia, Jores Okore and Gary Gardner, though star striker Christian Benteke could return from a hip injury to be available. For Spurs, Étienne Capoue, Younes Kaboul and Emmanuel Adebayor are all out, while Aaron Lennon and Danny Rose are early doubts.

Aston Villa injuries and suspensions

Out: Charles N’Zogbia (Achilles), Jores Okore (knee), Gary Gardner (knee). In doubt: Christian Benteke (hip).

Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions
