Newcastle United vs. West Bromwich Albion: Preview and TV schedule

Newcastle United will look to record their fourth consecutive victory against an inconsistent West Brom on Saturday.

Newcastle United's patchy start to the season has improved over the last few weeks, with the Magpies recording three consecutive wins to move up into eighth place. They host West Bromwich Albion at St. James' Park on Saturday, looking to continue their impressive run.

The Baggies haven't quite lived up to last season's showings, and are currently five points in arrears of Newcastle in 11th place. They've drawn the joint-most games in the Premier League, and are still looking to shake the frustrating inconsistency which saw them throw away a 2-0 lead to draw against local rivals Aston Villa on Monday.

Newcastle will be without Ryan Taylor through a long-term knee injury, while Steven Taylor and Paul Dummett are both doubtful. For West Brom, Zoltán Gera and Ben Foster are out, and could be joined on the sidelines by Billy Jones, Liam Ridgewell and Scott Sinclair.

Newcastle United injuries and suspensions

Out: Ryan Taylor (knee). In doubt: Steven Taylor (hamstring), Paul Dummett (hamstring).
