Manchester City's injury crisis is getting worse and worse. Already down half of a first team, City will now have to do without the services of David Silva for an extended period. He was pulled out of the CSKA match in the second half, and Manuel Pellegrini has now announced that the midfielder could miss "three or four weeks" with a calf injury, joining Stevan Jovetic and Vincent Kompany on the sidelines with Fernandinho and Matija Nastasic also a doubt for the weekend's match.
David Silva could miss a month with calf injury
A calf injury has landed David Silva in a crowded Manchester City training room.

Partially because of those injuries (Kompany being out for much of the year has been a huge blow), City are already six point back of the leaders. However, despite being depleted, they have a good chance of making some ground when they travel to Sunderland -- Arsenal have to deal with a trip to Old Trafford, and even without Silva City have the firepower to cope with the Black Cats.
The silver lining, of course, is the international break. There’s never a good time to get injured, but just before a long stretch with no games is about as positive a scenario as one might hope for.
