Manchester City vs. Swansea City: Preview and TV schedule

Manchester City’s excellent home record should see them past Swansea on Sunday.

The difference between Manchester City home and away this season has been bizarre. At the Etihad they've won every single one of their opening six matches. Away, they've won just one. The bad news for their opponents this weekend, Swansea, is that they're making the trip to Fortress Etihad.

City are currently fourth in the table, after producing a confidence-boosting 6-0 hammering of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. Swansea also picked up a victory, ending their three-game winless streak against Fulham to move up to tenth in the table -- though it's still hard to see the Swans managing to come away from the Etihad with any points.

However, City do still have a few injury problems, particularly in defence. First-choice centre-backs Vincent Kompany and Matija Nastasić are both sidelined, while attacking duo David Silva and Stevan Jovetić are still unavailable. For Swansea, Wilfried Bony and Àngel Rangel sustained injuries in their Europa League defeat to Valencia, and will sit this one out.

Manchester City injuries and suspensions

Out: Vincent Kompany (thigh), Matija Nastasić (calf), David Silva (calf), Stevan Jovetić (calf). In doubt: None.

Swansea City injuries and suspensions

Out: Wilfried Bony (hamstring), Àngel Rangel (calf). In doubt: None.
