Manchester United vs. Shakhtar Donetsk: Preview and TV schedule

Shakhtar Donetsk will look to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages with a result against Manchester United on Tuesday, with the Red Devils having already sealed progression.

Despite their recent Premier League traumas, Manchester United have wrapped up their place in the Champions League knockout stages with a game to spare. The same isn't true of their opponents in the final matchday, Shakhtar Donetsk, who are looking to ensure their progression at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian side -- who held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture -- are currently holding onto the second qualification spot, and will keep it as long as their result at Old Trafford isn’t bettered by Bayer Leverkusen, who travel to Real Sociedad. If Shakhtar win, they’ll jump above United and win the group.

The question for the Red Devils' boss David Moyes, therefore, is whether to use this match to rest key players or play a full-strength side to try and ensure the point that will see them top the group. He'll be without Darren Flether and Michael Carrick, while Shinji Kagawa, Nemanja Vidić, Chris Smalling, Patrice Evra and Marouane Fellaini are all doubtful. Shakhtar on the other hand, are fully fit.

Manchester United injuries and suspensions
