The adidas f50 is a very, very good piece of footballing hardware. The technology behind it, when you really stop and think about it, is nothing short of ingenious. Through the use of smart, lightweight materials and smarter construction techniques, adidas had established what was arguably the lightest boot for the world’s best player. The sportswear giant is once again celebrating Messi’s success with a brand new colorway for his signature boot.

Lionel Messi and Barcelona had a tough time of it at the San Siro against AC Milan in Champions League play on Wednesday night. It seems that Leo needs a kick start and adidas think they have just what the physio ordered.
This new design doesn’t feature any hardware improvements (after all, there wasn’t much for them to improve on), but it does sport a bold new red and white colorway with subtle graphics that simply scream speed. The boots will feature Messi’s trademark design cues, of course. The personalized design details include his logo, name and mantra: “give all for your team.”
