Everton and Chelsea are both in action in midweek in the FA Cup as they look to avoid upsets against less illustrious rivals in Oldham and Middlesbrough respectively.
FA Cup, 5th Round Preview and TV schedule: Everton and Chelsea look to avoid upsets
Everton and Chelsea will both be glad of the chance to win some silverware, but cannot afford to ignore the league as they take on lower-league opposition in Oldham and Middlesbrough.

Oldham claimed a late 2-2 draw in their game against Everton to force the replay, while Chelsea had already been taken to a replay by Brentford in the previous round. The two ties are the last of the fifth round fixtures to be decided, with the other places already spoken for. A winnable clash with Wigan Athletic awaits either Everton or Oldham in the quarter-finals, while Chelsea or Middlesbrough will have a far trickier test against Manchester United.
Everton will probably be without Victor Anichebe and will definitely miss Tony Hibbert, but David Moyes says his side are suffering from a few more injury niggles that could keep players out. Oldham, meanwhile, will give late tests to James Tarkowski, James Wesolowski and Carl Winchester. Chelsea will have to make do without Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta, while Middlesbrough could be without Jonathan Woodgate and Lukas Jutkiewicz.
The stakes are quite high for both teams, with David Moyes looking to end his long trophyless run at Goodison Park (perhaps as a parting gift), and the FA Cup the only silverware Chelsea are still competing for. Despite that, fixture congestion means they cannot focus fully on the game, with Everton's small squad being tested and Chelsea suffering from a gruelling run. In addition, both clubs are facing a fight to finish fourth, and cannot take their eye off the league. The potental for an upset is certainly there, and we could very easily get one surprise team in the later stages.
