With Jack Wilshere still unavailable, the midfield duo lines up behind an attacking trio that features Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the left wing. Aaron Ramsey is left on the bench along with Tomas Rosicky after the duo played in Arsenal's midweek victory at Bayern Munich. Ignacio Monreal also returns at left-back.
Swansea, meanwhile, start with Michu up front flanked by Nathan Dyer and Pablo Hernandez. Garry Monk continues in defence instead of Chico Flores, and young left-back Ben Davies keeps his place in the side.
