Pescara vs. Chievo Verona, Final Score 0-2: Make it stop!

Winning in their typically tedious counter-attacking way, Chievo Verona nicked a couple of late goals after Pescara had been completely unaware of what they should actually do with possession -- despite having more of it throughout the match.

The loss means Pescara are joint-bottom with Palermo, still five points adrift of safety. They've lost their last five games straight, and haven't won since their first game of the year. As for Chievo, they're sat comfortably in mid-table as per usual.

Chievo made the better start to the match, and could've taken the lead around a quarter-of-an-hour in after a smart first-touch pass from Alberto Paloschi sent Cyril Théréau through on goal, though his shot was saved by Ivan Pelizzoli in the one-on-one.

Pescara weren't entirely second best, with Emmanuel Cascione having a couple of headers in quick succession on goal as they tried to take control of the game, with the first caught by Christian Puggioni and the second flashing across goal and wide.

Isaac Cofie hit the bar from the edge of the area after a quick Chievo counter before Théréau headed just wide before the half-time whistle. The first half was surprisingly entertaining, though the teams made sure normal service was resumed in the second half.

Virtually nothing happened save for a couple of Théréau shots on goal until inside the final five minutes, with Pescara unable to create anything despite controlling possession. They were punished on a quick counter as substitute winger Adrian Stoian curled the ball into the top corner with a couple of minutes of normal time remaining, before Théréau sealed it in stoppage time.
