It has only been two weeks, but there is no doubt that this is the best MLS has ever been. A glance at the Eastern Conference standings shows that, where Toronto, New England, D.C., New York and Chicago make up the non-playoff teams. Even if it is absurdly early to be standings watching, every single one of those teams, save Toronto, can make the playoffs. Moreover, each has some redeemable, entertaining qualities. Nine teams in the East alone are legitimately good teams.

Doug PensingerThe Rapids has begun making preparations for a snowy match by painting the lines on the field orange and practicing with orange balls. The city has been hit with snow for the last couple days and the team had begun marketing the match as the fans’ chance to create a #WinterFortress, but when the forecast called for Saturday to be the worst day of the storm, the team, in conjunction with the league, decided to postpone the match.
The Denver area is expected to get up to 18 inches of snow on Saturday and a blizzard warning has been issued so the team deemed to unsafe to ask the players, coaches, stadium staff and fans to travel to Dicks Sporting Goods Park for the match. The roads are expected to be plowed and cleared by Sunday, making it safer for all those involved.
