Newcastle’s Ryan Taylor injured for most of next season, Tim Krul also facing spell out
Newcastle full-back Ryan Taylor has suffered further cruciate ligament damage which could potentially keep him out injured for the entirety of next season.

Taylor picked up his injury against Atromitos in August in a Europa League qualifier, and has not played since. Yet, after just returning to training after eight months out, the defender has suffered further ligament damage.
Newcastle revealed the news of Ryan Taylor's injury on their official website, with Magpies boss Alan Pardew adding: "He has been a model patient and has given his all to ensure he could return to full training in the best condition possible. Clearly everyone at the Club is deeply saddened by this news.
“Ryan has, and will continue to, receive the full support of everyone at Newcastle United during this difficult time for him.”
The club also revealed that goalkeeper Tim Krul will have surgery on Monday after the Dutchman dislocated his shoulder during Newcastle's heavy 3-0 defeat to rivals Sunderland last Sunday. It is not yet known how long he will be out for.
