Mario Balotelli’s suspension reduced to two matches

Mario Balotelli had two games affixed to an automatic one match ban after he swore at the referee against Fiorentina, and already missed the rossoneri take on Napoli in a 1-1 draw last time out.

He was always going to have to tap his heels frustratedly in the stands as AC Milan take on league leaders/soon-to-be title winners Juventus this weekend, though after his suspension was reduced from three games to two, he'll return for the match against Catania in the next round.

Balotelli will be a big miss for Milan, already having a huge impact in Serie A after arriving from Manchester City in January. He's scored seven times in his opening eight games, easing the goalscoring burden on the shoulders of Stephan El Shaarawy.

The Pharaoh has netted 16 times in an incredibly impressive season, though having not scored in his last seven games, he'll hope to find form again and fire Milan to an unlikely victory against Juventus. Giampaolo Pazzini will probably come in for Balotelli and slot alongside El Shaarawy, and could add to his 13 goals this season.
