Real Madrid vs. Borussia Dortmund: Lineups
Jose Mourinho has opted for a more attacking midfield that will put more pressure on Xabi Alonso while Dortmund are unchanged form the first leg.
Jose Mourinho has adjusted his back line from the first leg shifting Sergio Ramos back inside with Michael Essien again available to play at right back. Luka Modric also plays in place of Sami Khedira as it appears Mourinho is trying to beef up his attack a bit with his side in need of three goals.
Jürgen Klopp’s lineup is unchanged from the first leg and who came blame him? After all, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Robert Lewandowski will be looking to have another magical Champions League night though the chances of him netting four goals again is probably too much to ask. Dortmund would probably be just fine with one, which might be enough to hammer the final nail in Madrid’s proverbial coffin.
Real Madrid starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Diego Lopez; Fabio Coentrão, Raphaël Varane, Sergio Ramos, Michael Essien; Xabi Alonso, Luka Modric; Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Özil, Angel Di Maria; Gonzalo Higuain.
Borussia Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Roman Weidenfeller; Marcel Schmelzer, Mats Hummels, Neven Subotic, Lukasz Piszczek; Sven Bender, Ilkay Gündogan; Marco Reus, Mario Götze; Jakub Blaszczykowski; Robert Lewandowski.
