Levante vs. Real Zaragoza: Final score 0-0, Zaragoza fail to take advantage of a man advantage
Real Zaragoza could have moved four points clear of the drop zone with a win but they failed to capitalize despite playing over 35 minutes with a man advantage.

Zaragoza move two points clear of the drop zone into 16th place but could find themselves as low as 19th by the end of the weekend should results not go their way.
Levante were the slightly better side in the first half, coming close a couple times but failing to take advantage of their chances. Early in the second half Pape Diop clipped Víctor Rodríguez in the face with a high boot and was shown a straight red by the referee, leaving Levante to play the final 37 minutes a man down.
As you would expect Levante dropped deep and played for the draw. Zaragoza had a couple shots at grabbing the full three points but luck wasn’t on their side.
In the 64th minute Victor’s low cross into the Levante box was poorly dealt with by David Navarro who nearly put the ball in his own net in his attempt to clear the danger. Seven minutes from full time Nabil El Zhar’s free kick looked destined for the back of the net but was denied by a fine save from Keylor Navas.
