On the 20th anniversary of one of the proudest days in Parma's history -- the 1993 Cup Winners Cup win -- they played a match they'll be desperate to forget. Not even the special commemorative kit they were wearing could inspire the crociati to victory, as Bologna won the Emilian derby 2-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Bologna have spoilt an anniversary party at the Ennio Tardini, winning the Emilian derby against Parma 2-0.

Parma could've hardly started worse, conceding a spectacular goal by Saphir Taïder inside the opening six minutes. The ball came out to the Algerian midfielder from a corner, and he lashed it from distance beyond a helpless Antonio Mirante. Parma reacted well to going behind, with Jonathan Biabiany having a great chance to level inside five minutes. The French winger stormed into the box, though his shot was deflected wide of the far post.
Amauri fired wide of the near post minutes later, before Ishak Belfodil -- a former Bologna player -- was denied by the rossoblu goalkeeper Dejan Stojanović. The young keeper was on great form and made more saves on Amauri and Belfodil from close range, before tipping a long-distance shot from Biabiany around the post.
The hosts were dominating, and it seemed a goal was inevitable. However, Bologna -- who lost the reverse fixture 2-1 from a winning position -- had other ideas. Super Stojanović proved impenetrable, and Bologna took their narrow advantage into the second half.
Parma came out on the front foot again, though they lacked the penetration on which they failed to capitalise in the first half. In the end, they were made to pay. Alessandro Diamanti threaded through Davide Moscardelli with a quarter-of-an-hour left, with the striker slotting the ball inside the far post. A rare counter-attack from Bologna sealed the game.
The win is Bologna's first in eight games, while Parma's run of two consecutive victories comes to an abrupt end. This result doesn't actually do anything to either side's league position, with Parma staying tenth, three places above their Emilian rivals.
