Scott HalleranThe match turned in the 37th minute when Jose Velasquez hacked down Cornell Glen with an awful tackle from behind. The referee rightly showed Velasquez a red card for his dangerous challenge and Honduras had to play more than 50 minutes with 10 men.
Trinidad and Tobago had the upper hand even before they went up a man as Jones gave the Catrachos back line fits, but his finishing left plenty to be desired. Honduras wasn’t taking the match especially serious, resting a few of their first choice players and it showed as the Soca Warriors dominated.
