Honduras are the clear favorites to win Group B in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, but Trinidad and Tobago and El Salvador will both feel that they're the favorites for second place. Both teams qualified for the tournament comfortably, finishing second and third in their respective regional qualifying sections.
El Salvador vs. Trinidad and Tobago, 2013 Gold Cup: Preview and TV schedule
If a winner emerges from this match, they can get a massive leg up in the most balanced group in the Gold Cup.

T&T’s biggest star is Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones, and their hopes of advancing far in the tournament will likely hinge on his performances. Due to his team’s depth at striker and lack of creativity, he’s played a bit more of a facilitator role than usual in recent years for his national team, but he’ll be expected to be the team’s primary scoring threat in this tournament. They’ll be boosted by the addition of Middlesborough defender Justin Hoyte, who joined up with the team in 2013.
El Salvador are strong up the middle and central midfielder Osael Romero is their most experienced player. Their most dangerous attacking threat is Rodolfo Zelaya.
Match date/time: Monday, 7 p.m. ET
Venue: Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey
TV: FOX Soccer (U.S. - English), Univision Deportes (U.S. - Spanish), Sportsnet World (Canada), ESPN (U.K.)
