Mexican international Giovani dos Santos has signed a four-year deal with Villarreal after joining for an as yet undisclosed transfer fee from Mallorca.
Giovani dos Santos joins Villarreal
The Mexican international midfielder has jumped off Mallorca’s relegated bus and onto a rising yellow submarine as they passed in the night.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder was a regular for Mallorca last season but when the side was relegated to the Segunda División at the end of the season, few expected Dos Santos to hang around. The LA Galaxy were apparently after the midfielder but they were unable to convince him that making a move to MLS was good for his career.
Instead Dos Santos has chosen newly promoted Villarreal, who returned to La Liga after one year in the second division. This is the Yellow Submarine's third big signing of the summer as Dos Santos will join fellow Mexican international Javier Aquino and former Mallorca teammate Tomas Pina at the club.
Dos Santos, who signed with Tottenham back in 2008, never broke through with Spurs and spent the three seasons bouncing around Europe on loan deals before moving to Mallorca in 2012. He made 29 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.
