Both Chelsea and Aston Villa enjoyed perfect starts to the season, with the former picking up a comfortable 2-0 win against newly-promoted Hull City, and the latter an unexpected 3-1 victory over Arsenal. They go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, with Villa hoping to win away at Chelsea for the first time since December 2011.
Chelsea vs. Aston Villa: Preview and TV schedule
Chelsea and Aston Villa both won their opening games of the Premier League season, and face off at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
Chelsea have no fresh doubts from the weekend. Brazilian defender David Luiz is still recovering from a hamstring strain and could miss out, alongside midfielder John Obi Mikel -- who was ruled out of playing on international duty with a stomach bug -- and young midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, who sustained a knock while with the England U21 team.
Villa's only new injury concern is Nathan Baker, who was withdrawn from the victory over Arsenal with an ankle injury. He could be sidelined with Yacouba Sylla, Chris Herd and Charles N'Zogbia, who all missed the weekend's match.
