UEFA Europa League 2013: Places in the group stages will be decided

Tottenham and Swansea City are basically in the group stages but they still have to finish the job and there is plenty of work for others to do as the second legs of the Europa League playoff round take place on Thursday.

The final matches of the Europa League playoff round are set to play out on Thursday as spots in the tournament’s group stages will be up for grabs.

Teams like Tottenham, Swansea City, Sevilla and SV Salzburg having all been making plans since the first leg thanks to their large victories but they still have to finish the tie and avoid an embarrassing collapse.

Most of the ties remain close with several notable sides needing a result in the second leg to survive. Spartak Moscow returns home tied on aggregate with St. Gallen, Real Betis and Fiorentina both have a one goal lead after playing away in the first leg.

Udinese are in serious trouble after falling at home in the first leg 3-1 against Czech side Liberec. Besiktas and Nice both must overcome a one-goal deficit after losing away in the first leg.
