English League Cup third round draw: Manchester United play Liverpool in Luis Suarez’s return

Manchester United have drawn Liverpool in the third round of the League Cup, and that game could be Luis Suarez’s first game back from domestic suspension.

Luis Suarez's first game back for Liverpool will come in a Northwest Derby, provided that he's fit for the match. Manchester United will host Liverpool in the headlining match of the English League Cup's third round.

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur have tough test with a trip away to Aston Villa, while Arsenal face a similar draw with a game at The Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion. Manchester City and Chelsea will be favored to advance in their ties against Wigan and Swindon, respectably. West Ham vs. Cardiff and Fulham vs. Everton are the other two all-Premier League matches in the third round.

All ties are scheduled to take place on the week of September 23. None of the dates and times for matches have been determined yet.
