Tottenham Hotspur reach agreement for Vlad Chiricheș
Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they’ve reached an agreement with Steaua Bucharest over the signing of Vlad Chiricheș.

Despite being only 23, Chiricheș has already been capped by Romania 19 times, and was a regular as Steaua won the Romanian league title last season. Capable on the ball as well as defensively, he could prove to be a great long-term signing for Spurs.
Chiricheș is their fifth summer arrival, though -- with the exception of occasional stand-in Étienne Capoue -- their only new centre-back. Having lost Steven Caulker and William Gallas this summer, Spurs have done well to reinforce their back line, especially with such a young talent.
