Fulham sign Adel Taarabt on loan from Queens Park Rangers

Fulham have completed a season-long loan deal for Queens Park Rangers’ Adel Taarabt, the club have confirmed.

Adel Taarabt has completed a move to Fulham on loan for a season from Queens Park Rangers.

Fulham confirmed the signing of Taarabt on their official website this afternoon. The Moroccan midfielder, who has also been deployed as a striker, has a reputation for being hugely inconsistent yet highly entertaining, although kept his place in Harry Redknapp’s team as the R’s battled in vain against relegation in the second half of last season.

QPR are attempting to reduce their wage bill as they deal with relegation to the Championship, but although Taarabt was hugely effective at getting them out of that division previously, the club have decided to let him move to Fulham on loan, as had been suggested on the BBC and Sky Sports in recent days.

With the likes of Dimitar Berbatov and Bryan Ruiz competing for his position, Taarabt may have a job breaking into Fulham's first team, but Martin Jol is certainly building an attack with plenty of flair at Craven Cottage.
