MLS 2013, Week 24 preview and fixtures: You get a signing, and you get a signing

Seemingly every team in MLS is adding to their roster to get ready for the stretch run.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Does your favorite MLS team look anything like they did in March? Or even last month? Probably not.

Nearly every team in the league has signed a player or three in the last month, which isn’t so uncommon, but the number of impact players being added to some of the best teams are. The Sounders, Impact, Dynamo and Rapids have all added Designated Players, while the Galaxy and Red Bulls have gotten much-needed help at the back. Everyone is getting in on the signing action. Even Chivas signed Erick ‘Cubo’ Torres. It’s like a signing party.

Toronto FC vs. Seattle Sounders

Saturday, 7 p.m. ET - MLS Live

To Clint Dempsey or not to Clint Dempsey?

Pick: Seattle, 2-1.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. San Jose Earthquakes

Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET - MLS Live

Don’t these two teams wish it was June 2012?

Pick: Draw, 1-1.

Columbus Crew vs. New York Red Bulls

Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET - MLS Live

Guillermo Barros Schelotto isn’t walking through that door.

Pick: New York, 2-0.

Philadelphia Union vs. D.C. United

Saturday, 8 p.m. ET - NBC Sports Network

Who the hell keeps putting D.C. on TV?

Pick: Not D.C., 100-0.

Chicago Fire vs. Montreal Impact

Saturday, 8:30 p.m. ET - MLS Live

Apparently, Patrice Bernier didn't boss the midfield on his own quite well enough so the Impact added Hernan Bernardello just to humiliate opposing midfields.

Pick: Montreal, 2-0.

Sporting Kansas City vs. New England Revolution

Saturday, 8:30 p.m. ET - MLS Live

Sporting wanted to be in the Champions League. Now let’s see if they can handle the fixture congestion.

Pick: Draw, 1-1.

Real Salt Lake vs. Houston Dynamo

Saturday, 9:30 p.m. ET - MLS Live

The Dynamo are going to flirt with the whole not making the playoffs thing again, aren’t they?

Pick: Salt Lake, 1-0.

FC Dallas vs. LA Galaxy

Sunday, 8 p.m. ET - ESPN2

If Bruce Arena is such a great manager then he is probably capable of telling his team the season has started.

Pick: LA, 2-1.

Chivas USA vs. Colorado Rapids

Sunday, 11 p.m. ET - UniMas

What’s a Chivas?

Pick: Colorado, ∞-0.
