The North London Derby should be an interesting affair as Tottenham travels to Arsenal for the first meeting of the season between these long time foes.
Arsenal vs. Tottenham: Lineups
No surprises from either coach’s lineup as the Gunners and Spurs prepare to meet in this season’s first edition of the North London Derby.
Arsene Wenger's only real surprise is starting Carl Jenkinson at right back ahead of Bacary Sagna. Other than that, it's a first choice lineup considering the injuries that the Gunners' are dealing with at the moment.
Spurs don't have their new signing available just yet so Andre Villas-Boas' lineup is fairly familiar with the exact same 11 players on the pitch that started against Swansea last weekend. Erik Lamela, one of those new faces, makes the bench and very well could see some minutes today.
Arsenal starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Wojciech Szczęsny; Carl Jenkinson, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Kieran Gibbs; Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere; Theo Walcott, Tomáš Rosický, Santi Cazorla; Olivier Giroud.
Tottenham starting lineup (4-3-3): Hugo Lloris; Kyle Walker, Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose; Étienne Capoue, Paulinho, Mousa Dembélé; Andros Townsend, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli.
