Spain took control of their World Cup qualifying group on Friday with their win over Finland, but because Group I is unbalanced, the current world champions don't have a second qualifier and instead travel to face Chile in a friendly in Switzerland.

Thanks to being in one of the smaller UEFA World Cup qualifying group, Spain has an open date to travel to Switzerland to bank a little more money.


Chile have won five our of their last six matches but have never managed to defeat Spain in five meetings. The last time the two team’s met -- also a friendly in Switzerland -- Cesc Fábregas’ stoppage time goal gave La Roja a 3-2 win. Spain won the last competitive match 2-1 in the group stages of the 2010 World Cup.
Isco has left the national team as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
