Jürgen Klopp may appear to be the coolest manager in all of professional football, but he’s capable of losing his mind just like anyone else is. Witness his exchange with the fourth official in Wednesday’s Champions League group stage match against Napoli.
Jürgen Klopp nearly kills fourth official, gets sent off
The Dortmund manager was given an early exit after expressing his displeasure that Neven Subotić was not allowed back onto the field prior to his team giving up a goal.

Following Napoli’s opening goal, Klopp started off by sarcastically clapping. He was apparently upset that injured defender Neven Subotić was not allowed back onto the field before a Napoli free kick. Essentially playing a man up, Gonzalo Higuain was able to get a good look at a header.
In any case, after the sarcastic clap, Klopp found the fourth official and promptly went thermo-nuclear. It seriously looked as though his head may explode or he might kill the fourth official. Unsurprisingly, the head referee noticed and had a little talk with Klopp, who didn’t appear to be interested in any of it. Moments later, Klopp was heading for the dressing room.
