Ricardo Centurión has been one of the most exciting young players in the Primera División of late, having starred out on the left flank for Racing Club de Avellaneda and broken into the Argentina U-20 team. Now Serie A side Genoa have announced the signing of the 20-year-old in an official statement.
Genoa confirm signing of Ricardo Centurión
Genoa have pulled off a coup in signing young Argentine winger Ricardo Centurión from Racing Club.

Centurión was set to get his break in Europe with Anzhi Makhachkala this summer, though the move -- initially agreed back in January -- collapsed. Providing the winger is able to full recover from ankle surgery, then the grifone should have pounced to make a great signing -- and one which could make them a tidy profit if he delivers on his promise.
However, how he’ll slot into Fabio Liverani’s starting 11 remains to be seen. The Genoa coach has preferred a Christmas tree 4-3-2-1 formation in his opening few games at the Luigi Ferraris, which isn’t exactly conducive to Centurión’s classic wing play out on the left flank. Whether he’ll be reduced to benchwarming duties or a tactical tweak is in the offing, we’ll have to wait and see.
