English League Cup 2013 draw: London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea set

Arsenal willl host Chelsea in the most appealing match of the League Cup’s round of 16. All three remaining lower league sides host Premier League opposition.

Ben Hoskins

If Arsenal can sneak past West Bromwich Albion, they'll be a part of the most intriguing tie in the next round of the League Cup. The winner of that tie will host Chelsea, who snuck by Swindon on Tuesday.

Manchester United took care of Liverpool during Wednesday's action and face what could be a tricky trip away to Newcastle. Manchester City also have to go away, and they'll face Norwich at Carrow Road. Tottenham Hotspur have the lightest draw of the top Premier League sides with a home match against Hull.

A total of 13 Premier League clubs remain in the competition, and an all-Premier League quarterfinal looks fairly likely. None of the remaining sides from below the top flight drew each other. Fulham, Stoke and West Ham are the teams who drew lower-league opposition, though all three will have to go away.

Update: Arsenal defeated West Brom on penalties.
