Manchester City vs. Blackburn Rovers, 2014 FA Cup: Preview and TV schedule

Manchester City should finally be able to kill off Blackburn Rovers in the replay of their third round FA Cup tie on Wednesday.

Manchester City were given a fright by Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park a couple of weeks ago, with Scott Dann cancelling out Álvaro Negredo's opener before the visitors had Dedryck Boyata sent off with five minutes remaining. However, City held on for the draw, and should be able to kill off their second-tier opponents in the replay at the Etihad on Wednesday.

City have been in lethal form of late, having won all but two of their games since early November. Though manager Manuel Pellegrini will no doubt rotate his squad, they should still have enough to beat a Blackburn side which is currently down in eighth place in the Championship.

The hosts will be without a trio of crucial first team players, with Samir Nasri and Yaya Touré joining star striker Sergio Agüero on the sidelines. The good news for Blackburn is that they should have a full-strength team available, though still need to pull off a massive upset to progress to the fourth round.

Manchester City injuries and suspensions

Out: Samir Nasri (knee), Sergio Agüero (calf), Stevan Jovetić (hamstring), Jack Rodwell (hamstring), Yaya Touré (back). In doubt: None.
