Manchester United vs. Swansea City: Final score 1-2, late red spurs Swans on

Swansea have upset Manchester United and made a bit of club history in the process.

For the first time in their club's history, Swansea City have pulled out a victory at Old Trafford. The Swans took an early lead, but they needed the aid of a dubious decision by official Mike Dean, who sent off Fabio in the second half. Nonetheless, Swansea earned their late goal and sunk Manchester United, 2-1, to advance in the FA Cup.

The Swans' early strike came mere seconds after a botched Manchester United chance that should have seen them go ahead. 'Chicharito' Javier Hernandez whiffed on a shot and the visitors capitalized on their ensuing counter, with Alejandro Pozuelo setting it up. The young Spaniard spotted a run by Wayne Routledge and played a perfect pass to split United's defense, with Routledge applying a classy chipped finish.

Four minutes later, Chicharito made up for his earlier error by tying up the game. Alexander Buttner provided the setup, whipping a perfect cross into the six-yard box for Chicharito to tap into the back of the net.

United and Swansea looked destined for a draw until the 80th minute, when a bad tackle by substitute Fabio da Silva changed the game. He looked like he expected to see yellow after a hard and high challenge on Jose Cañas, but he was handed a straight red card, forcing United to play shorthanded.

It took them until stoppage time, but Swansea capitalized, with Wilfried Bony heading in a cross by Routledge just after the clock struck 90 to give Swansea a historic victory.
