    BVB need positivity, and a win, against Augsburg

    With a “fresh start” ahead of them in 2014, Borussia Dortmund will get the opportunity to start the year on the right foot on Saturday afternoon. FC Augsburg won’t be an easy out, however, and are heading to Dortmund with the belief than a win is within reach.

    Die Borussen now have a fight on their hands to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Gladbach and Wolfsburg have shown us that they’re not messing around this season. While a win here won’t clinch anything for BVB, a loss could find them out of the Champions League places at the end of Matchday 18.

    Bayern clinched their victory in the 52nd minute, when Granit Xhaka was caught blocking a shot with his hand in the box, leading to a penalty. Müller converted, doubling Bayern’s lead, and they proceeded to pass in circles for the rest of the game because they can.
